Candice was found out in the country, sick, alone and pregnant, by a lady who took pity on her and brought her inside. Animal Welfare agreed to help and the lady who rescued her agreed to foster her. Candice had a difficult pregnancy and was taken to the vet clinic where she gave birth to 3 kittens by Caesarian section. One kitten was stillborn and the other 2 had to be resuscitated. After several weeks, one of the remaining kittens died suddenly, leaving Candice with a single kitten to raise. We named the female kitten Krystal and she has been adopted to a loving home. Candice also raised an orphaned kitten along with her own and it seems that her mothering instinct is very strong, for she likes to 'mother' all the other cats at The Pampered Feline. She is a little shy with people at first, but once she gets to know someone she loves attention and sitting on a lap. After all the hardships she has faced in her young life, Candice is now waiting for her chance to find happiness with a family who will love her and give her the caring home she deserves.
