A lady on the west mountain first noticed Charise lying in a cool shady spot in her backyard hedge during a recent hot spell.  After a few days, when she was still there, she began to put out food and water for her and asked around the neighbourhood to see if she belonged to anyone.  She also put up posters, and put ads in the lost and found section of the newspaper and the Petlynx website.  Charise was becoming very friendly with her and kept coming up to her patio door, wanting in but she couldn't take her inside due to allergies in the family so she called AWA to see if we could help.  Fortunately, we had a spot available and when Charise was checked out at the vet's, they discovered that she was already spayed but there was no microchip or tattoo.  Now Charise needs a second chance to have a home where she will be a well-loved indoor cat and an only pet as she definitely does not like other cats.  In return she promises to reward her new owner with all her affection and purrs of happiness.
