Ilse was rescued from the west Mountain during a cold winter spell.  Fortunately she was brought to us before she had a chance to get pregnant.  She is a beautiful little female who loves attention, but is also quite happy to amuse herself and plays happily alone with her toys. Unfortunately, Ilse cannot stand even the sight of another cat ... in fact, she cannot even stand the sight of herself in a mirror (she goes into attack mode).  We just discovered this after we had placed Ilse with a lady who had no pets.  We thought we had found the perfect home for her, but Ilse’s reaction to her own reflection made her new owner rather nervous so we thought it best to take her back.  Now that we know more about Ilse we think that an adult home would be best ... and a home where mirrors are not too accessible.  Perhaps, in time, Ilse will get over this little quirk.  We certainly hope it doesn’t prevent her from ever being adopted, as she really is a sweet little cat.  Could you give Ilse a mirror-free environment plus the affection she craves?
