HOW
IT WORKS:
Supporters
simply buy groceries, gas and other items they
would
normally buy at stores they normally shop in, with gift
cards
purchased at par through AWA's Fundscrip account.
For
example, when you buy a $100 Esso gift card, it costs
you
$100 and is accepted at Esso just like $100 cash.

The
denominations of the cards range from $5 to $250.
Some
cards offer declining balances while others return change
if
the purchase is less than the face value of the card.
This
is a loyalty program and the retailers who participate donate
back
a percentage of what supporters spend in their stores.
Half
the rebate goes to the group and the other half to you.
As
a reward for helping your organization, you earn FundScrip
Reward
Dollars with each purchase, which accumulate in your account and
can
be redeemed for gift cards from any of the participating retailers.
You
may also choose to donate your rebate back to your group.
The
gift cards have expiry dates that range from 2 years or more.
Gift
cards can be ordered online by each supporter and
paid
for by Electronic Fund Transfer. Ordering online
using
EFT is as secure as banking online and is easiest for us.
If
you do not wish to use EFT you may pay by cheque but AWA
must
receive your payment 1 week before the order deadline
and
then we must pay FundScrip before your order goes through.
We
strongly urge our supporters to use the EFT option !
EFT
payment arrangements must be completed in advance.
Simply
download the EFT application form from the
FundScrip
website and fax it with one of your personal cheques,
marked
VOID to the number on the application form.
You
will receive a confirmation email from FundScrip
when
your EFT application has been received. Then, when you
place
your order, you may use the EFT payment option and the
amount
of your purchase will be debited to your bank account.

placed before 9:30 am Thursday
are shipped to AWA on
Tuesday
of the next week for distribution to supporters
Orders
are shipped by FedEx and shipping is paid by AWA.
We
