BIJOU & CLEO

I wanted to give you an update on  my adoption of Athena.  I gave her a new name based on her personality; her name is Bijou which means precious gem/jewel.  She is a very affectionate cat and loves to cuddle. I cannot believe how loud she purrs when she sits in my lap. She is also very rambunctious. My other cat, Cleo, enjoys her company very much and they are constantly playing chase. Every once in a while I catch them in a cuddle just long enough to show that they care for each other.

Bijou's attitude around the house is "what's mine is mine, and what's yours is mine" so I have to keep redirecting Bijou at mealtime back to her own bowl so that Cleo can get some food too.  I love that I was able to give Bijou a happy and VERY loving home to live in.  My cats mean the world to me. Its hard to imagine what life was like before we were blessed with her.  Bijou's favourite activities are: chase, hide and seek; she loves the computer, singing in the bathroom where it echoes, waking mummy up by licking her nose, and chasing Cleo's tail while Cleo lounges on the window sill or chair.
